INDUSTRY AND EVENT OVERVIEW

The global automotive industry is undergoing a paradigm shift at present, exploring alternative fuels and renewable energy options with the objective to drive “clean mobility” and cut down on carbon emissions. India too is investing heavily in the electric mobility shift with the Indian EV market expected to grow into a US$ 206 billion opportunity by 2030. This would require a cumulative investment of over US$ 180 billion in vehicle production and charging infrastructure.

India offers the world’s largest untapped market, especially in the two-wheeler segment. Conducive government policies in form of subsidies and grants, tax rebates coupled with the push for developing a domestic manufacturing ecosystem for key EV components and proactive participation of the automotive industry would only propel the market growth

E-Mobility India Forum 2022 scheduled on 29 - 30 September 2022 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi aims to support India’s ambition of harnessing electric mobility by serving as a premiere networking and insight-sharing industry forum. The Forum will bring together the thought leaders and ‘who’s who’ of the industry under one roof to discuss and deliberate on issues to be addressed and opportunities to be explored in order to push the sector towards a higher growth path.

With an aim to revive in-person industry connect post pandemic and create a premiere platform for business networking and exchange of insights between thought leaders from the automotive and EV industry, Messe Frankfurt India organized the debut edition of E-Mobility India Forum on 7 October 2021 at Le Meridien, New Delhi. The event registered participation of 155 industry delegates and eminent Speakers representing entire spectrum of the industry, who engaged in active interactions and thought provoking sessions on various pertinent aspects concerning the Indian EV industry. The enthusiastic response to the launch edition of the event has required enhancing the duration of the second edition (2022) to a 2-day conference, enabling a wider scope of topics of interest and discussion points in the conference agenda, as well as more networking time for the industry.
